Presentation
New support system for for students wishing to consider the relevance of submitting a doctoral project or developing a future doctoral project. This mentoring module offers tailor-made and individualized follow-up. It provides methodological assistance, a network, scientific expertise and can promote a multidisciplinary approach in the formulation of the research project.
It is a pairing between a student and a researcher from the university where the student is registered, or from another university, in France or abroad, or a researcher from a national research organization (CNRS, IRD, Inria…).
Participants are thus given a personalized support to set up a potential research project, identify possible supervisors and explore ideas of doctoral research, particularly within the framework of the T4EU alliance.
Eligibility criteria
The program is dedicated for two kinds of audiences:
- Students enrolled in the second year of a master’s degree (M2) or equivalent, considering pursuing a doctorate.
- People in in-service training or professional retraining, people looking for a job and holding a Master 2 level diploma (or equivalent), wishing to explore the possibilities of starting a doctoral project.
Academic recognition
- Format: individual mentoring, individual work. Possible international mobility (T4EU program).
- Hourly volume: 8 hour face-to-face mentoring + 20 hours of personal work
- Assessment : writing a 4-6 page doctoral project
- Certification: certificate of participation by the Graduate+ ARTS (ANR-SFRI program).

Selection process
- The applications will be selected and ranked by the application examination committee, composed of the master’s supervisors of the G+ scope and the Directors of the Graduate+ ARTS.
- The commission ensures that special situations are taken into account (disability, social criteria, first generation at university, etc.).
